Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: August 28, 2026

You can delete your personal data from The Lelino, and revoke our access to your Instagram or TikTok account, at any time. Deleting your account takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

It does not erase absolutely everything. A short, complete list of what survives — and why — is at the bottom of this page, and in full in the Privacy Policy (§11). Read it before you press the button, not after.

Pick the steps that apply to you. If you never created an account, go straight to Step 5.

Step 1 — Download a copy of your data first

Optional, but there is no way back afterwards. The "Download my data" button gives you a JSON file containing the data we hold about you (GDPR art. 15 and 20).

  • Restaurants: Dashboard → Settings, under "Your Data".
  • Influencers: your Profile page, under "Your Data".

The export leaves out other people's personal data — diners' names and contact details, reviewers' names, and the messages the other party wrote to you. Those are their data, not yours; the file tells you where something was withheld.

Step 2 — Disconnect Instagram or TikTok

This deletes the stored access token and the audience statistics from our servers, without deleting your Lelino account.

  1. Sign in to The Lelino.
  2. Restaurants: go to Dashboard → Settings. Influencers: go to your Profile page.
  3. Next to the connected account, click "Disconnect".

Important:disconnecting removes the token from our side only. It does not revoke our application's authorization on Meta's or TikTok's side — do that in Step 4.

Step 3 — Delete your Lelino account

This deletes your account and your personal data straight away. There is no 30-day grace period, and no way to recover the account.

  1. Sign in to The Lelino.
  2. Restaurants: Dashboard → Settings. Influencers: your Profile page.
  3. Click "Delete my account" and confirm.

What goes immediately: your account, password and phone number, your profile, your sessions (you are signed out everywhere, server-side), your connected social accounts and their tokens, your profile and gallery images, your campaigns and alerts, the written assessments you gave or received, and — for a restaurant — its reservation book and the reviews on its page. An active subscription is cancelled with Stripe at the same moment, so you stop being charged.

If you came here to stop the text messages: the Platform texts you on two events only — a creator applying to your campaign, or your own application being approved. There is no setting that switches them off, and the phone field can be changed but not emptied, so deleting the account is what ends them. That is a heavy way to stop a text message, and we would rather say so here than let you discover it afterwards. The full picture is in the Privacy Policy (§5).

Step 4 — Remove the app on Meta's and TikTok's side

This revokes the OAuth authorization at the source, independently of your Lelino account. Recommended as a final step.

Via Facebook:

  1. Go to Facebook Settings → Security → Apps and Websites.
  2. Find "The Lelino" in the list of active apps.
  3. Click Remove and confirm.

Via Instagram:

  1. Open Instagram → Settings Apps and Websites.
  2. Under Active, find "The Lelino".
  3. Tap Remove and confirm.

Via TikTok:

  1. Open TikTok → Settings and privacy Security and permissions Manage app permissions.
  2. Find "The Lelino" and remove it.

Step 5 — You never created a Lelino account

You do not need an account to be affected. We hold personal data about you if you have ever:

  • booked a tablethrough the reservation form on a restaurant's public page — we then hold your first name, last name, email address, phone number, the date and party size, and later the status of the table and the bill amount; or
  • left a reviewon a restaurant's public page — we then hold the name you gave, your rating, your written comment and the spend band you selected. That review is public.

You have exactly the same rights as an account holder: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. There is no button for you, because there is nothing to sign in to. Email us instead:

Subject: Data Deletion Request — no account

Please include the restaurant concerned, the approximate date, and the email address or phone numberyou used (for a review, the name you posted under). Without those we cannot find your record without searching other people's.

We may ask for one further element to confirm it is really you (GDPR art. 12(6)). It is used only for that check and is not kept afterwards. We reply within one month (art. 12(3)).

TO BE COMPLETED BY THE PUBLISHER BEFORE LAUNCH

Postal address for written requests, and the identity check the publisher wants applied to a request from someone with no account, need to be decided and published here. Until then the email route above is the only one, and this page says so rather than inventing a procedure.

What deletion does not remove

Deletion is immediate and irreversible, but some records genuinely survive it. This is normal and lawful; hiding it would not be.

  1. The other party's conversation. The thread and every message in it — including the ones you wrote and the files you attached — stay with the person you were talking to, who took part in that exchange. Your identity is stripped out: your handle and business name are cleared, and the messages are attributed only to a role.
  2. Shared business records, anonymised. Collaboration requests and promo codes remain so the other party's history and revenue figures still add up. Your handle is replaced with a deleted-account marker and the link to your published post is removed.
  3. Stripe's customer record and invoices. These are accounting records, kept under GDPR art. 17(3)(b) — compliance with a legal obligation. The subscription itself is cancelled immediately, so nothing further is charged.
  4. Stored files that no record points to any more. An image replaced by a later profile edit, or uploaded and never saved, carries no link back to an account in our file storage, so it cannot be found automatically. A real technical limit, not a choice.
  5. Instagram / TikTok connections started before an account existed. If you connected an account during a signup you never finished, that record is attached to a signup session rather than to a user, so no account deletion reaches it. Email us and we will remove it.
  6. Anything a cleanup could not finish. If Stripe or our file storage is unavailable at that moment, the database erasure still goes through — your right does not depend on a third party being up — and the remainder is flagged for manual handling. There is no automatic retry.
  7. Application logsmay contain your account's technical identifier.
